EVE, is an intimate story of a 9 year old girl called Eve, living in one of the oldest off grid communities in the UK. Following her journey returning to school and becoming a young climate activist. Her story encapsulates the human complexity of navigating the environmental crisis and what moving to live off grid really means for a UK family.

Joya & Lucy are multi award winning female British filmmakers whose work has been broadcast and screened by National Geographic, Nowness, Real Stories, VICE, and has been hailed on platforms such as HUCK, Gal – Dem, Free The Bid and more. With a flair for finding stories that bring light to fresh and underrepresented perspectives, they utilize films potential as a strong impact medium, inspiring new energy to global issues. A cohesive, humanistic approach to filmmaking, paired with striking visual expression, characterizes this duos distinctive style with common yet critical themes that intersect human’s relationship with the environment. Joya and Lucy’s most recent commission by Real Stories has been viewed over 750,000 times online and continues to take film festival awards from around the world. The film is a powerful piece of advocacy, demanding inclusion and equality in extreme sports. The filmmaking duo are currently developing several new projects to hybridise the documentary form, pushing the medium beyond convention.

ORBAN WALLACE is an award-winning director & co-founder of Gallivant Film. Orban has been producing short films and creative commercial content for the past 10 years. Orban’s short films have played at Cannes, Vancouver and have been shortlisted for the RTS Awards. Orban’s documentary feature debut ANOTHER NEWS STORY, which turned the cameras on the journalists reporting the crisis, was heralded for its fresh and bold approach to the refugee subject, and it’s dynamic cinematic style and score. The film premiered at Karlovy Vary and has since played over 30 international festivals including IDFA, Zurich, Newport Beach. It was shortlisted for a best international feature in the 2018 Grierson awards and Orban was shortlisted for 'breakthrough producer' at the BIFA’s. Orban is currently working on a slate of new feature films and focusing Gallivant’s short form on eco related projects.
